Our History

David and LeCleta Aitken moved “to the farm” outside of Scranton, Arkansas in the early 90s. What started as a hobby, transitioned into a business. Selective buying, breeding and business dealings allowed Aitken Quarter Horses to at one time stand three stallions, including NRHA money earner and AQHA Superior earner, Lean On Fritz, whose offspring has gone on to compete across multiple disciplines including reining, ranch riding, working cow horse, roping, barrel racing, and more.

Now, over 30 years later, the next generation is working alongside David and LeCleta and looking towards the future of the farm. Barbara Aitken Jenkins and her husband Cody Jenkins both help manage the farm and show at local, regional and national levels in multiple events.
